Get a Grip on Safety
It’s that time of year to ‘Get a Grip on Safety.’ This injury
reduction campaign focuses on the prevention of slips, trips and
falls at home and in the workplace. In the first year of this
enterprise-wide campaign, we reduced slips, trips and falls by
47 per cent over the year before. We need your help to ensure
this trend continues.
Remember, slips, trips and falls can happen to anyone, at any
time, in any location. Over the next six months, the Get a Grip
ATHLETES GET FUNDING BOOST

ALL IN THE FAMILY AT WOOD BUFFALO
What’s a family gathering without a little excitement and a few special guests, right? This year’s annual Wood Buffalo Family
Day on Sept. 6 featured the contestants in the Suncor Amazing Race competition as well as retiree Jack Avery, an oil sands
pioneer who wore Badge #5 for Suncor. The event also included exhibits and booths from various departments, games,
giveaways and activities. We alternate locations each year between our base site and at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre.
This year, we had more than 1,000 people attend at base site – and by all reports, everyone had a blast.
